Anna Fiora

Therapist (LMSW)

Bachelor’s in History with Psychology minor. “I believe in strategies that foster continued support and empowerment that are tailored to your specific goals.”

I received my Bachelor of Arts from Shepherd University in History and a Psychology minor in 2015, and my Master’s in Social Work in 2020 from Salisbury University. I currently hold a LMSW license for the State of Maryland.

I come from a diverse work background having worked previously for a Congressional Committee, Family Law Administration, Maryland General Assembly, a Fortune-500 company, and the Maryland Public School System. I believe these work experiences have led me to finding my passion through social work and helping others.

During my graduate work, I have worked with adults and children in a variety of public and private agency settings working on divorce, co-parenting, and social skills through individual and group counseling. I expanded on my previous skills under the supervision and mentorship of Esther Vanderwal, LCSW-C and Serenity Place, LLC clinicians while working with adults and children on various mental health issues. In addition to individual therapy services, I have also facilitated and co-facilitated therapy and support groups for women and teens in the community.

In my work as a licensed Social Worker, I hope to create a space where you feel safe and comfortable sharing with me the challenges you face without judgment. I believe that you are the expert in your thoughts and feelings and deserve an active role in your treatment. I believe in strategies that foster continued support and empowerment that are tailored to your specific goals. I appreciate you allowing me to be a part of some of the most difficult times in your life. Together, we can work through them.
