I am starting my internship, the final step of my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. I am excited to join Serenity Place as an intern because of how much they do for our community. Southern Maryland is where I have called home my whole life, and I want to make my community a better place by providing mental health services.  I have prepared for this internship through research, coursework, and two residencies over the past two years. I am a member of the Chi Sigma Iota counseling honor society Chi Upsilon Chi chapter at Capella University. Before I began my Master’s program, I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus. I also obtained an Associate’s degree in Social Sciences at the College of Southern Maryland. Before pursuing my counseling career, I worked with students of all ages in the St. Mary’s County Public School system for three years. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults to treat anxiety and depression.
