Kelsey Colvin, LMSW

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Messiah College in 2012 and a Masters in Social Work from Salisbury University in 2018. I am licensed to practice social work in the state of Maryland. I have been actively working with children and families in St. Mary’s County for over eight years as a child welfare activist, as well as serving individuals and families in a private practice setting. My joy is being able to meet with people every day in a therapeutic setting. I enjoy incorporating alternative therapeutic interventions within my work with clients, such as aromatherapy, expressive arts, and the use of mindfulness. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Existential, and Strengths-Based therapies, and collaborate with my clients to ensure that their individualized needs are met. As a local to St. Mary’s County, I love being on the water, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with my family and two spoiled rotten dogs. #HTTR!
