Hello, I am Tamira Moreno Farquharson, I am a Texas native, raised in San Antonio.  I obtained my BSW and my MSW from Our Lady of the Lake University. I am an LMSW, holding a license in both Texas and in Maryland.

Most of my career has been working with the homeless population, in particular, with homeless single women and their children. These women have taught me the true meaning of resiliency and determination.  I have witnessed the beauty of life and the brutality of life.  It can be cruel, and we can feel shame, trauma, anxiety, apathy, or hurt. Whatever it may be, I don’t think you should do it alone. We are all on this journey together and I am passionate about helping people see their inherent worth and value and believe in the persistence and strength of the human spirit and in one’s ability to conquer uncompromising challenges.
